For bed bugs we recommend using Digrain Insecticlear. This is based on two naturally occurring insecticides found in plants: Pyrethrum is made directly from plants while Cypermethrin is a synthesised organic compound. The latter, in particular, is ideal for household applications as it can remain effective for a number of weeks.

A bed bug infestation is likely to require more than one treatment, therefore we would recommend buying a 5L Pack.

Bed Bug Treatment

To fully treat a bed bug infestation you are going to have to do most of the work yourselves (clearing the room, washing, vacuuming), so why not do the spraying as well and save on that hefty call-out charge?

When spraying it is essential that the insecticide covers all surfaces in the infected room (not just the bed or mattress) and a heavy infestation may require more than one treatment. We would therefore highly recommend purchasing our all-in-one
Complete Treatment Pack.

You’ll likely need a little help and guidance with treating bed bugs, in which case click on the button bellow to follow our ‘how to’ treatment guide

How To Guide

Alternatively, this quick 5 step process will give you an overview of what is needed to successfully treat a bed bug infestation.

5 Step Process

  1. Empty everything you can from the infected room. Bag it (to stop the spread) and wash & tumble dry (at the highest temperature), dry-clean or freeze.
  2. Thoroughly vacuum the room and everything else that remains in it.
  3. Spray a thin layer of insecticide over everything in the room and over the entire floor area. Leave the room.
  4. After a minimum of 2 hours you can re-enter the room and return the washed items. However, do not vacuum or clean for 7 days.
  5. For a heavy infestation you may need to repeat the process.

However, before treating a room please do read the full ‘how to’ guide which also includes important safety advice.
