Pest Control Products

With over 40 years of combined professional pest control experience, we here at diypestsupplies.co.uk know what works.

For flies we recommend using Digrain Insecticlear. This is based on two naturally occurring insecticides found in plants: Pyrethrum is made directly from plants while Cypermethrin is a synthesised organic compound. The latter, in particular, is ideal for household applications as it will remain effective for a number of weeks.

A Helping Hand

You may need a little help and guidance with treating flies.

How To Guide

Handy 5 Step Process

There are many different types of fly in the UK but their treatment follows a similar process.

  1. Check all areas where  flies have been seen congregating. Typically around rotting organic matter or stagnent water.
  2. Clean all surfaces that have had fly activity and using the spray, apply a thin layer of insecticide.
  3. Respray after 48 hours.
  4. Additionally for drains, use a bucket of water or a hose to flush water through the drain to check its flow. Liberally spray insecticide directly into the pipe to kill the flies.
  5. After you have successfully killed off the flies you will need to fix the underlying issue (remove rotting matter or improve the flow of drains) or it is likely that the infestation will reoccur

However, before treating it is recommended that you do read the full How-To guide which includes important safety advice.
